Buyer Acknowledgement — Online Business Exchange
Shown at: buyer registration, Buyer Launch Alerts signup (short form, §B), and on every buyer enquiry form. Acceptance is recorded (account record / form entry, with date) before an enquiry is sent.
A. Full acknowledgement (registration and enquiry forms)
By registering as a buyer or submitting an enquiry, I acknowledge and agree that:
- Figures are seller claims unless labelled otherwise. Every financial and operating figure in a listing is provided by the seller. Each figure carries one of these labels (Listing and Evidence Policy):
- Seller-stated — provided by the seller, not independently verified;
- Evidence supplied — documentation provided by the seller; receipt of a document is not review or verification of it by OBE;
- Data-connected — from a connected source, with the source, period, last sync, and limitations identified for that specific metric only.
- OBE does not audit, appraise, value, or recommend. OBE has not verified a listing’s figures except to the exact extent a Data-connected label states for a specific metric. OBE does not recommend any business as an investment or predict any return, sale, or outcome.
- I must do my own due diligence. Before relying on any figure or entering any transaction, I will complete independent due diligence — including verifying financial, traffic, and operating claims from primary sources — with my own legal, accounting, and other professional advisors.
- OBE is a venue, not a broker or escrow holder. OBE provides advertising and introductions only. It does not negotiate for me, hold any funds, provide escrow, prepare transaction documents, or guarantee any transaction. Any escrow, if I want it, is a third-party service I engage directly.
- My dealings are directly with the seller. Negotiation, documents, payment, transfer, and closing are between me and the seller. OBE is not a party and is not responsible for either party’s performance.
- Contact limits. I will use seller information only for a genuine enquiry about that listing, and I consent to OBE and the seller contacting me about my enquiry (see Privacy Policy).
B. Short form (Buyer Launch Alerts signup — shown beside the consent checkbox)
Launch alerts are notifications about a new marketplace, not matching or recommendations. When listings publish, their figures are seller-stated unless labelled otherwise (Evidence supplied / Data-connected — see Listing and Evidence Policy). OBE does not audit, value, or recommend businesses. You must do your own due diligence before any purchase.
